Personal data we process
We process personal data that you provide to us yourself or that arises from your use of our website:
- first and last name, job title and company name
- billing and delivery address
- telephone number and e-mail address
- VAT and Chamber of Commerce number of your company
- order details, such as products ordered, amounts and payment status
- details of your customer account, such as your username and (encrypted) password
- the content of messages you send us via the contact form, by e-mail, by telephone or via LinkedIn
- technical data, such as IP address, browser type and device information
- data about your use of the website, if you consent to analytical cookies
We do not process special categories of personal data. Our website is not intended for persons under the age of 16.
What we use your data for
We use your personal data for the following purposes, on the stated legal basis under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR):
- Performing your order: processing, producing, delivering and invoicing your order and handling your payment. Legal basis: performance of a contract (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR).
- Your customer account: creating and managing your account, so that you can view previous orders and order more quickly. Legal basis: performance of a contract (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR).
- Answering questions and requests: via the contact form, by e-mail, by telephone or via a request form on LinkedIn, and making a suitable proposal. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in responding to business enquiries (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
- Legal obligations, such as the statutory tax retention obligation. Legal basis: legal obligation (Art. 6(1)(c) GDPR).
- Security and proper functioning of the website. Legal basis: our legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
- Analysing website use with Google Analytics, to improve the website. Legal basis: your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR).
We do not send a newsletter and do not use your data for other advertising campaigns. We do not make decisions based solely on automated processing, such as profiling, that have (significant) consequences for you.
How long we keep your data
We do not keep your personal data longer than necessary for the purposes for which it was collected:
- order and invoice data: seven years, due to the statutory tax retention obligation
- customer account data: for as long as your account exists; after your account is deleted, we only keep what we are legally required to keep
- questions and requests: up to six months after completion, unless a customer relationship arises
- analytics data: up to 14 months
Sharing data with third parties
We do not sell your data. We only share your data with third parties where this is necessary for the purposes stated:
- Mollie B.V. (Amsterdam), for handling payments. Mollie processes your payment data in accordance with its own privacy policy.
- Carriers and logistics partners, for delivering your order.
- Hosting, e-mail and IT service providers, for the technical operation of our website and e-mail.
- Google Ireland Limited, for Google Analytics, only if you have given your consent.
- Government authorities, where we are legally required to do so.
We conclude a data processing agreement with parties that process personal data on our behalf. The use of LinkedIn itself is subject to LinkedIn’s privacy policy.
Transfers outside the European Economic Area
Google may transfer data to the United States. Google is certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework, which ensures an adequate level of protection.
Cookies
We use two types of cookies:
- Functional cookies are necessary for the website to work, for example to remember your shopping cart, keep you logged in and save your language choice. No consent is required for these.
- Analytical cookies from Google Analytics give us insight into how the website is used. We only place these cookies if you consent to them via the cookie notice. Google Analytics does not store IP addresses.
We do not use advertising cookies. You can withdraw your consent at any time via the cookie settings on the website. You can also delete or block cookies via your browser settings.
Your rights
You have the right to access, rectify or erase your personal data. You may also request restriction of processing, object to processing, withdraw any consent you have given and request your data in a commonly used file format (data portability).
You can send a request to info@waterconcepts.nl. We will respond within one month. To verify that the request comes from you, we may ask you for additional information. We do not ask for a copy of your identity document.
You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority (Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens) or with the supervisory authority in your country of residence.
Security
We take the protection of your data seriously and take appropriate measures to prevent misuse, loss, unauthorised access, unwanted disclosure and unauthorised modification. For example, our website is secured with an SSL connection. If you believe that your data is not properly secured or there are indications of misuse, please contact us at info@waterconcepts.nl.
Changes
We may amend this privacy policy, for example in the event of changes to our services or to legislation. The most recent version is always available on this page.
